Es ergibt sich daher die Frage, ob kurzer Schlaf das Risiko f\u00c3\u00bcr eine Zuckerkrankheit erh\u00c3\u00b6ht.<\/p>\n<p>Es wurden 21 gesunde Personen \u00c3\u00bcber insgesamt 39 Tage untersucht, im Schlaflabor, in Einzelzimmern, ohne Kenntnis der jeweiligen Tageszeit. \u00c3\u0153ber 5 Tage mussten sie 16 Stunden pro Tag im Bett verbringen, Schlafdauer nach Bedarf. In den folgenden 3 Wochen Schlafdauer maximal 5,6 Std\/24 Stunden, wobei aber die Tage 28 Stunden dauerten (Verschiebung des Circadianrhythmus). \u00c3\u0153ber weitere 9 Tage durfte wieder bis zu 10 Stunden pro Tag geschlafen werden.<\/p>\n<p>Schlafmangel und St\u00c3\u00b6rung des Circadianrhythmus beeintr\u00c3\u00a4chtigte die Insulinaussch\u00c3\u00bcttung, sie verminderte sich um etwa 12% (basal und postprandial(nach dem Essen)), die Blutzuckerspiegel waren erh\u00c3\u00b6ht. Damit w\u00c3\u00a4re langfristig eine Gewichtszunahme zu erwarten, in diesen F\u00c3\u00a4llen um etwa 4,5 kg in einem Jahr. In der 9-t\u00c3\u00a4gigen &ldquo;Erholungsphase&rdquo; normalisierten sich die Stoffwechselver\u00c3\u00a4nderungen.<\/p>\n<p>(Buxton OM, et al. : Adverse metabolic consequences in humans of prolonged sleep restriction combined with circadian disruption.
